In the universe of Edgar Rice Burroughs (ERB), Woola is a fiercely loyal, ten-legged Martian hound (a calot) native to the dying planet of Barsoom. Belonging to the adventurer John Carter, the massive, frog-like beast is known for his terrifying rows of teeth, immense speed, and unparalleled devotion.

Woola appeared in A Princess of Mars, published in 1912 and is in the public domain.

Current Incarnation (PDSH)

In our version of the character, is largely unchanged from Edgar Rice Burroghs' creation, though perhaps a touch smarter.
