Character History
History & Public Domain Status
Kull of Atlantis or Kull of Valusia, debuted in 1929 in Robert E. Howard's "The Shadow Kingdom," first published in Wierd Tales that year.
Born in Atlantis and raised in the wild by tigers (yes, you read that right), he is eventually taken in and fostered by the Sea Mountain tribe.
He was exiled after granting a woman, condemned to burn at the stake, a merciful, quick death.
He wandered for years before eventually winning the throne of Valusia and learning that kingship is as much a burden as it is a prize.
Current Incarnation (PDSH)In our stories, Kull's Atlantis exists at the time of Ancient Egypt's (Stygia in our stories) height as a civilization.
Kull's wandering adventures might see a young version of him roaming through the Stygian desert or coming into conflict with ancient gods and monsters anywhere else his feet take him.
There are hints that the soul carried by Kull of Atlantis lives on through warriors of many ages and many lands.
